The Washington Times – By Jeffrey T. Kuhner
Attorney General Eric H. Holder Jr. should resign. He is a disgrace to his office and to his country.
Mr. Holder is a race baiter. On Tuesday, he testified during a House Appropriations subcommittee hearing on the voting rights case involving members of the New Black Panther Party. In the 2008 election, Black Panthers – dressed in military fatigues and wielding a club – threatened voters at a Philadelphia polling station. They denounced the voters as “crackers” and vowed those voters would not be allowed to help defeat then-candidate Barack Obama. Their goal was to bully and intimidate. This was a clear case of violation of voting rights. Such behavior may occur with impunity in banana republics – not in the world’s leading democracy.
“When you compare what people endured in the South in the ‘60s to try to get the right to vote for African-Americans, to compare what people subjected to that with what happened in Philadelphia … to describe it in those terms I think does a great disservice to people who put their lives on the line for my people,” Mr. Holder said.
Excuse me – his “people”? This is one of the most outrageous – and divisive – statements by a senior government official in recent memory. His people are and should be the American people – all of us.
This guy has issues. I have seen Holder speak a few times and he does not try to hide the fact that he thinks racism only one sided.
Definition: Prejudice or discrimination directed against someone of a different race based on such a belief.
Why is it when white people talk about the black people it is racism but when the black people talk about the white peoples it is just conversation? I don’t buy it.
If the United States of America every wants to get united again all of its citizens will have to put all of their hard feelings behind them and pull together as a nation.
One word can be the connector for harmonious living and that is “RESPECT”. We don’t have to love one another or even like one another just “RESPECT” one another.
I wish someone can tell me how I am supposed to be responsible for what some out of control hate mongers else did 250 years ago?
What happened to the black people in the days of slavery was a catastrophe and it should have never happened but then is then and now is now. If people keep looking back there will never be an end to racism and maybe not!
Can we expect this country move ahead if certain people keep reopening the same old wounds. Guys like Holder should not serve in public office.
O-Bomb-O had to know this hot head for years before he “appointed” him to attorney general. This only leads people to believe that “birds of a feather flock together”.
On the other hand we have Bill Cosby, an outstanding citizen that is trying to project his people in the right direction by way of education and hard work and all he gets criticized for it. He is trying to stress there are no free lunches in this world, unless you are a politician.
Just about every nationality that came from the old country had to make a name for themselves by hard work, good living and honesty.
There are bad seeds in every nationality but it is up to the community of that group to weed them out and keep this bad seeds from growing.
If O-Bomb-O wants to salvage whatever is left of his pathetic presidency, he should put a hold on Holder, stick a sock in his mouth and hide him out until the election he is not going to win is over.
Everyone is entitled to their own personal opinions but when a person is serving in a public office they should be, at least on the surface, neutral.
