US plans major push for new talks with Taliban:

WASHINGTON – The US plans a major push next week to jump-start peace talks with the Taliban, senior Obama administration officials said, amid the first concrete signs of progress toward a negotiated end to the 10-year-old war in Afghanistan.

“Keep your finger on the trigger and your eye on the hog”, is the best advice I can give the negotiators from the USA if it ever comes to sit-down with the “ENEMY”.

If ever some kind of agreement comes about with the other side; how can the Taliban be trusted based on their track record?

The worse thing the United States can do is to capitulate in any fashion to these fanatics. We better understand something; there are a lot of people out there that mistake kindness for stupidity and weakness. Any and all settlements/agreements if it ever gets that far should be on our terms only.

Time to play hardball fellas. They should be coming to us not to them. Better yet; we don’t belong there just like we didn’t belong in Iraq. Someday are we going to make another strategic withdrawal? We know what the the definition for that is.

I am the first person to say that anything that can bring peace in the world is worth going after but buyer beware!!
