Starbucks CEO Schultz made $65 million:
That is some strong coffee. Americans biggest no toxic addiction is coffee.
On the Katie Couric show Starbucks CEO Laughs at the Notion that some of his coffee costs as much as $5 a cup. I would say that Schultzy baby is laughing all the way to the bank.
The old say is; “I don’t mind being screwed but I like to be kissed a little too”.
Sixty-five million a year; that is some serious green.
What if in the entire world; wherever Starbucks has a location, all of the java jammers would boycotted the coffee comedian for three days or make it a week? I wonder if Schultzy would be laughing then?
After all; what are we looking at; some ground up coffee beans and water. The most that could cost is three cents a cup and that is high. For those patrons that like to drink the exotic stuff add about four cents per cup. With labor, overhead and profit add another twenty-five cents a cup and we have at the most thirty-two cents for a cup of coffee.
The average cup of “Joe” in Schultz-Buck cost $ 2.00 a cup, some as high as $5.00. That means that the old boy is locking up $1.68 per cup for ever cup of coffee sold for sun tan lotion, mansions, private jets and all of the other luxuries a man can want.
Don’t misunderstand me. A person should make a fair profit but to gouge the caffeine cravers is taking advantage of their weaknesses.
So Mr. Howard Schultz; why don’t you come down a few branches on the coffee bush and cut the price of you mud. Make it $ 40,000,000.00 a year instead of $ 65,000,000.00 and give your loyal, weak, addicted customers a coffee break??
