U.S. to elevate Special Operations forces’ role in Afghanistan:

The U.S. military is planning to elevate the role of Special Operations forces in Afghanistan as it shifts away from a combat focus to a mission that places greater emphasis on advising Afghan forces and raids to kill top insurgent leaders, senior U.S. officials said.

They call it redefining our mission. Broken down it means ” we really don’t know what our mission is and what we are doing is not working”.

“Give them a basket of fish they eat for a day; give them a fishing rod they eat for the rest of their life”. It is time they fight their own battles. What incentive do they have to protect themselves and risk their lives when our government is doing it for them?

By this time is it unreasonable to think that the troops we are supposed to be training would know how to pull a trigger or to launch a missile?

Can we assume by this time we have lost enough American  lives and almost bankrupted our country to save the Middle East from themselves?

Take a look at Iraq and Pakistan. Has anything changes since we pulled out? Nothing; conditions have just gotten worse and will continue to do so. Why does anyone think that Afghanistan will be any different?

To start with; the governments in these countries that we are trying to defend and educate could care less about the United States. We are just a cash cow and a military machine that are fighting their battles; battles that have been going on for 1,000’s of years in the name of their god.

One of the premises on why we are “where we don’t belong” is to protect our country from terrorists. We can not attempt that on their home turf; we do it on our turf by fortifying our security and borders.

How many of the people we killed since the wars started 10 years ago would have wound up in the United States as terrorists. Not many I would imagine. Not enough to justify what these wars have cost us.

We must remember a couple of things. First of all; don’t go where you don’t belong; never visit anyone’s house uninvited; charity begins at home; and when someone spits in your face and burns your flag that means they hate you.

Wake up our so-called leaders; it is long overdue; bring the troops home now.

I am almost convinced that these wars were started deliberately to make a lot of money for a certain few. What other reason can there be??
