‘Joe the Plumber’ explains qualification for run

(CNN) – Samuel Wurzelbacher, the Ohio Congressional candidate best known as “Joe the Plumber,” said Thursday his status as an American citizen was qualification enough to be elected to the U.S. House of Representatives.

Sam (AKA Plumber The Joe) is what we need in this country; someone that came up from the ranks; someone that can sympathize with what the average American family is going through and someone that has not sold their soul to the system.

I always remember seeing the movie Serpico; the good New York cop that was going to try and change the corrupt system because he was a true believer. To make a long movie review short; he struck out and almost got killed for his efforts. His OWN fellow cops conspired against him.

I hope that Sam has better luck then Serpico did. Watch you back Joe.

It is almost impossible to “fight city hall” and win the battle. These politicians are so entrenched in their positions; watching each other’s backs; they have a loyalty to each other that is very clandestine; that is only until election time comes around, then the ice picks come out and they are cutting the other ones throats.

Joe has his work cut out for him. I give him all the credit in the world for trying to “make a change”; as long as somewhere down the road Joe the Plumber does not do what 98% of the DC boys do and join the good old boys club.

When a person sleeps with dogs, they usually get fleas.

One thing he has going for him; how much worse of a job can he do than “his most esteemed colleagues” are doing?
