How do we lead but by example:
It seems to me that the messages the government workers are getting out of the White House is “don’t do what I do but do what I say”.
How are we supposed to teach our kids and subordinates right from wrong by the examples we set. If we set a good example hopefully they will follow suit. If not they should be punished.
In recent days there has be an explosion of government workers blowing the tax payers hard earned dollar extravagantly. When they have been caught with their hands in the cookie jar, all of a sudden they become more stupid than they already are and get a severe case of lock jaw. They cannot and will not answer questions about their misdeeds by taking the 5th Amendment.
There has been some conversation that Mr. O is not happy with the way his underlings are partying and wants to put an end to it.
This reminds me of what JFK said once; “this is my football and you are going to play it my way”. Not the right thing to do.
If indeed Mr. O has a problem with the GSA people going hog wild; I think he should put the brakes on some of the people in his family and “set the good example”.
There has been a lot of over-indulging with vacations and unnecessary spending on the part of the Obama family that could have saved the government a pile of money.
Most people have a miss-conception when it comes to saving and get out of debt; begin with the pennies and they eventually will turn into dollars.
So my advice would be “if you live in a glass house don’t throw stones”.
If you want to make the people in the government more financially responsible, set the example.
