Feds paid $439 million in bonuses last year

The federal government paid at least $439 million in employee bonuses last year.
The largest merit awards went to senior executives in Washington and air-traffic controllers, an investigation found. The highest award, $62,895, went to 16 employees from agriculture to NASA.

The $439 million in bonuses in 2011 represents just 0.4 percent of the $105 billion in salaries for most of the government’s civilian employees. In 2010, at least $482 million was paid in bonuses, according to federal data

Is this incredible or what? Actions like this just goes to show the American people what their government thinks of its citizens. Absolutely NOTHING.

Where does the insanity in our government stop? Every time we turn around “Uncle Sam” punches his people right in the gut. It is almost too much to take. Are they just that stupid or are they just that egotistical?

Who is supposed to be setting the guidelines to make sure these things don’t happen.  They are as bad as the companies the USA bailed out of bankruptcy and than gave most of their honcho’s big bonuses.

With all of the conversation about cutting back, tightening the belt, saving where we can, these clowns that run the government come up with another fiasco. They have no shame, no conscious and not a brain in their heads.

To be so blatant in their deliberate follies is unconscionable. As I have said time and time again “there is no accountability” in the government. They do what they want when they want to do it and hope they don’t get their tit caught in the wringer.

Time and time again these idiotic moves are made and there is no oversight committee watching them because the committee is just as corrupt and incompetent as their counterparts.

Who in the hell is supposed to be watching the fox in the chicken coop? As broke as the government is, these whiz kids that run the show find way to put the country deeper in the hole. Why not? Every time they need more $$$$$$ they just print it. How sweet is that?

The day of reckoning is coming and when it does the bottom is going to fall out big time. You can only steal from Pete to pay Paul so long and than it comes time for the payback.

Throughout history bigger civilizations than the USA have fallen because of their mismanagement and arrogance.

Some government officials were contacted concerning this matter and their reply was “I am taking the fifth”. Than they take the 6th – 7th and 8th while they are at it.
