GSA official at heart of conference scandal leaves agency:
It is about time there is some stern action taken against one of the “playboys” that are blowing the tax payers hard earned money. I wonder how many other sacrificial lambs will go to the slaughter house before this is all over. Usually they only get one fall guy to take the rap but the good old boys will assure him a good job after all the smoke clears. Mum is the word.
Jeffrey is the same guy the took the fifth multiple times after the escapades were uncovered. It didn’t do him any good after all.

Jeff Neely, who was the king pin in organizing the costly and controversial 2010 gala in Vegas finally got the boot. A GSA spokesman released a brief statement saying: “As of today, he’s no longer employed with GSA”.
The little shin-dig in the sand cost the tax payers $ 820,000.00 but that was just the tip of the iceberg.
As a reward for their stellar job performances, 37 of the top officials at GSA were given bonuses totaling over $ 500,000.00. Yes, after the fact. Talk about brazen!
OK; so some low level government clerk screwed up and by mistake (hello) just happened to write 37 people a big fat checks. If this transaction was on the up and up why should it be necessary to hide the bonus report or misreport it?
It must be just another innocent mistake made by one of our government employees that had a very good chance of going UN-detected if we didn’t have the news media doing their spy routine so well.
I really don’t know if these people are that out of touch with reality or they don’t have the mentality to do walk the straight and narrow? If I knew that I was under the micro-scope because of some type of infractions I would tone down my activities until it all blew over. Little brother is watching Big brother.
The attorney for some of the recipients of the bogus bonuses claims that they were not really bonuses but performance awards. Did he say performance awards?
The whole thing in a nut shell comes down to; these transgressions of our government have been going on for many years and will continue to do so unless they are caught red handed climbing out of a bedroom window at midnight or someone blows the whistle on them. Where the heck are all of the watch dog groups doing or was this one of GSA’s functions?
Let’s wait and see if anyone else is going to get the axe with GSA or if they are going to get another bonus for a job well done.
