US cuts Pakistan’s aid in protest at jailing doctor who helped find Bin Laden:
A US senate committee has voted to cut Pakistan’s aid by $1m for each of the 33 years of a prison sentence given to a doctor for helping the CIA to track down Osama bin Laden.
Aid to Pakistan? Are you kidding me? Why are we still giving aid to a country that has deliberately aided and abetted our enemies for years?
The first thing the USA should have done was get the doctor who helped capture Sad-am out of the country. They had to know there would be reprisals.
This cut in aid to Pakistan is only 1/3 of what is donated to them a year. Deep pockets USA usually gives these villains that house terrorists a billion a year; the same terrorists who are bound and determined to destroy the world in the “name of god”.
The list of countries that we donate money to a year is staggering. Some of them are better off financially than the USA is.
The U.S. is providing hundreds of millions of dollars of foreign aid to some of the world’s richest countries – while at the same time borrowing billions back, according to report seen by Congress.
The Congressional Research Service released the report last month which shows that in 2010 the U.S. handed out a total of $1.4bn to 16 foreign countries that held at least $10bn in Treasury securities.
Four countries in the world’s top 10 richest received foreign aid last year with China receiving $27.2m, India $126.6m, Brazil $25m, and Russia $71.5m
Mexico also received $316.7m and Egypt $255.7m.
Yet despite the massive outgoings in foreign aid, the receiving countries hold trillions of dollars in U.S. Treasury bonds.
China is the largest holder with $1.1trillion as of March, according to the Treasury Department.
Brazil held $193.5bn, Russia $127.8bn, India $39.8bn, Mexico $28.1bn and Egypt had $15.3bn.
There is an old saying that there is “a sucker on every street corner”. The USA is the sucker for the world.
I am willing to bet; if anyone in DC was asked, who determines which country gets aid from the USA or why are we giving aid to Russia, China and some other very wealthy countries, no one would be able to answer that question. It must be the same guys that approved the bonuses to GSA.
When are these comedians that run our country going to start taking care of “their own”? It is to the point of being inconceivable and incomprehensible that the USA is giving between 24 – 40 billion dollars away in aid a year while a good percentage of the population is starving and sleeping under bridges.
Has anyone from DC bothered to take a look around this country other than on Pennsylvania Ave?
Guaranteed that the countries that are on the receiving end are laughing all the way to the bank. “We will take all the money these dummies want to give away”.
There may be some underlying reasons that the USA has to buy our friendship around the globe but logically it doesn’t add up. They will call it diplomacy.

I am waiting for some government genius to suggest that we start giving foreign aid to Sultan bin Abdul-Aziz Al Saud of Saudi Arabia so he can buy a few more Rolls Royce’s.
Don’t laugh.
