Former Obama ally and Dem Congressman Davis switches to GOP:
Former Democratic Rep. Artur Davis is switching sides, abandoning his former ally President Obama to become a Republican — lamenting that the country has “gone backward” since Obama took office.
When a move like this comes from one of your own people, taking this reversal roll, it gives the action a lot more creditability.
Artur Davis is a good American; he has taken a stand where race is not going to be an issue. Further more he has gone public with his sentiments. He has seen the handwriting on the wall and decided like many Americans have that Obama was nothing but a used car salesman. Obama sold the American people a junk car that was doctored up to the max, it lasted just long enough to get it out of the parking lot, then it fell apart. Davis determined that if he was true to himself; regardless of his ethnicity it was in his best interest to switch parties.
Davis was quoted, “I supported President Obama four years ago because I wanted to see this country come together. I want us to change the way we talk to each other … Unfortunately, we’ve gone backward on both fronts over the last several years.”
This action is something that all Americans have to take. They cannot be hung up on race, looks or personality when it comes to voting. It all comes down to; did the man do what he said he was going to do or even a portion of it? I think the answer is a complete no. Don’t make a promise if you can’t keep it.
Are all politicians used car salesmen? Yes to that. As Americans we have to weed through them and chose the best of the worst in November.
The light came on for Mr. Davis. It is time that we all recognize the shortcomings of Obama and replace him with someone that will HOPEFULLY do a better job. The direction our country is going in now, if it continues, is nothing short of a catastrophe.
Put all of your prejudices aside regardless of what nationality you are and in November vote for the person that “claims” he is going to straighten out our country. The other guy sure didn’t come across.
We don’t need to buy the same clunker twice.
