New York plans a ban on big soda sizes:

Has Bloomberg flipped his lid? He is too young to remember probation. Whenever there is a ban put on anything people go out of their way to get it.

The ban is going to affect all soda pop 16 ounces or over. Instead of person drinking one soda that is 15.5 ounces they will drink two.

I thought that Michael was a little sharper than to make a crazy move like this. The measure would not apply to diet sodas, fruit juices, dairy-based drinks like milkshakes, or alcoholic beverages; it would not extend to beverages sold in grocery stores or convenience stores. If you are going through the trouble to ban something it should  be banned everywhere. Maybe his “honorable mention” owns a few grocery stores.

How about banning smoking in their casinos where a nonsmoker is choking their guts out sitting next to some diehard puffer. When it comes to money, they all politicians develop a different attitude. Smoking is banned in every other venue except parks and casinos in the Big Apple.

Marijuana is illegal; did people quit buying/smoking it? How deep is government going to get into people’s lives trying to control everything they do?

Good personal health habits should be taught at home, not in school or in the courts.

We don’t want everything in our lives controlled by the government. Before you know it “Big Brother” is going to be telling us now many sheets to use when we relieve ourselves.

It seems to me that most of the politicians have the same mentality. Why don’t they put more of their efforts into trying to clean up the cities streets, create jobs and reduce crime? That would make too much sense.

Give me a 32 ouncer and a large pizza with everything on it. Hold the mushrooms; I am trying to watch my weight.
