Golfing in North Korea: The Hermit Kingdom’s newest pastime:
Here is a story for all of you golfers out there.
There is a golf course in North Korea in the Hermit Kingdom’s. The very late (thank goodness) Kim Jong Il once visited the course on its opening day and reportedly shoot a world record 18 hole score of 38 under par which included five holes in ones. This unbelievable display of superior golf-manship was witnessed and attested to by 17 of his bodyguards. Strangely, nobody else at the course seems to recall his presumably spectacular performance.
“I swear to Buddha that’s the truth”
Now if that is not a tall tale I don’t know what is but if the bodyguards say it happened I guess it did.
One thing I am very proud of that I have been wanting to tell the readers of The Goomba Gazette.
About six months ago I went to South Africa for a bowling tournament with about 642 of my closest friends. In the last three games I bowled the scores were 328 – 301 and the best score was 376. How is that for a record? It was witnessed by 6 guys from the Binjombo tribe and 14 warriors form the Hakawana tribe.

The proprietor of the bowling alley made the guys check their spears and rifles at the front desk. There was a rumor spreading that they had a long standing feud over who’s cow should be shoved over the mountain first. This is the way they appease the pig gods in that part of the world.
