Credit Agency Declares: ‘Negative,’ US Economy Is Not ‘Doing Fine’

Hours after President Obama declared the private sector was “doing fine” — which he later backed away from after receiving criticism — one of the nation’s major credit rating agencies affirmed it was not.

Standard & Poor’s affirmed its long-term credit rating on the United States at AA+ and said its outlook remains negative.

How do we get a politician to tell the truth? Do we have to stretch them on a rack and crank it up?

I find it almost impossible to believe that Obama did not have the accurate reports on the private sector before his speech. When a person has to resort lying about an issue to get votes; we would have to start calling that person a politician.

Either Obama is trying to get into the Guinness Book of Records as the biggest fabricator in history; or he has some of the worst advisers on the planet. In either case the prez should get his numbers and figures right before turning on the micro-phone. He is not looking too good at this point.

There is an old saying. “Just stand back and watch; he is going to hang himself”! Maybe Romney should just put a big piece of Duct Tape across his own lips for the next few months and let nature take its course.

I think Obama may be slightly perturbed that his old buddy Bill Clinton can tell better fibs than he can; only up to this point. The pendulum is starting to swinging the other way.

If Romney was smart he should register a formal protest that his opponent can have TV air time anytime he wants it. We all know that every time Obama interrupts one of my favorite programs like Ozzie and Harriet to make another speech; the speeches are not totally dedicated to our national interest and he is doing a lot of campaigning for November. Not good, especially when he can not get the figures right.

For every minute of air time Obama gets Romney should get equal time. What is good for the goose is good for the gander; or something like that. What is good for the Mule should be good for the Elephant.
