US troops may face administrative punishment for Koran burnings at US base in Afghanistan

According to the officials, one Navy service member and as many as six Army soldiers could face nonjudicial disciplinary actions, which can range from a letter in their file to docking their pay or assigning them additional duties.

Are you kidding me? Those enemies of the USA piss on our flag and burn it on a daily basis and there are never any consequences for their actions.

To start with and end with; the reason those holy books were taken away from the prisoners is because they were writing coded messages in the books and sending them back and forth to each other.

Are we running a day care for kindergarteners or a detention prison for enemies against our country?

The bogus disciplinary actions are being taken against our troops that were following orders when they threw the books away and then burned them. This is because some of the nitwits in-charge wants to appease the enemy and not get them pissed off at us. What a joke.

Have we ever seen one of the top brass take the rap?

Our governments as well as the Afghans own investigation teams revealed that there was no wrong doing on the troops’ part. That should be the end of the story.

A preliminary joint investigation into the matter – done by senior U.S. and Afghan military officials – concluded in early March that while mistakes were made in the burnings, there was no intent to desecrate the Korans or other religious materials.

Let me send off a little clue to the top brass. The enemy isn’t going to like us any better regardless of what we do; so starts acting like a military unit and begin supporting the men that support you. Show a little dignity fellas.
