In Israel, Panetta Warns Iran on Nuclear Program:

ASHKELON, Israel — Defense Secretary Leon E. Panetta took a tough tone against Iran on Wednesday as he implicitly threatened the possibility of an American military attack if Iran decides to develop a nuclear weapon.

Time and time again I read about the outlandish commitments the USA has made to Israel to defend and support them under any circumstances. Now we are up against the Iran issue with them where the USA has stated that it will use military force if necessary to protect Israel. Are the powers to be in our country out of their minds making a commitment like that?

The USA has been giving Israel 3 billion dollars in aid a year since 1985. That is one sizable piece of change. It calculates to a whopping 81 billion dollars over that time period. I wonder what this impoverished USA could do with that kind of money.

I know that Israel is located in a strategic place in the Middle East and it is in the USA’s best interest to stay close with them but to engage in another war to protect them or any other country, that assumption is absolutely ludicrous.

What has Israel done for the USA? That is a very big question that I don’t think anyone wants to address. It is a very touchy and clandestine issue.

It is more than protecting their country that is the real issue; it has to be all of the powerful and wealthy Jewish people in this country that have put the pressure on the USA to support their homeland. As before in some of my blogs; it is all about the money and power.

I cannot even imagine that the USA would ever consider getting into another conflict/war based on the outcome of what has happened to us in Iraq, Pakistan and Afghanistan. Are these decision makers that out of touch with reality, ignorant or anti-American? Someone in DC has to see the handwriting on the wall. There certainly are a lot of citizens that see the folly in their decision making.

The State Department report said that as al Qaeda’s “core has gotten weaker,” affiliated groups have gained ground. They are getting stronger as a whole.

We are never going to come out on top. Where does the lunacy of our leaders ever end?

If for some unknown reason we are compelled to go to war because the USA’s security is being threatened; fight the war like a war and fight it to win. There no necessity to have any boots on the ground with the technology we have today. Fight the war from the air with drones and a long distance from the enemy.

There are some people and corporations that are getting very wealthy because of these conflicts. They actually want wars; if you can believe it or not.

In the last quarter of 2009, just as the United States was surging troops into Afghanistan, the top ten defense contractors upped their lobbying spending to $27 million. When America is at war, these companies make billions of dollars.

That is 27 million was for lobbying the guys with their hands out in DC, not the amount of money the defense contractors made.

Wikipedia

“It has been estimated by statisticians and economists and researchers that the wars have cost Uncle Sam $52,000,000,000. Of this sum, $39,000,000,000 was expended in the actual war period. This expenditure Yielded $16,000,000,000 in profits.” Those are B’s not M’s.

Lobbying in laymen terms means, kick backs, pay offs, wining and dining and vacations. That was one of the first issues on Obama’s addenda in 2008 that he was going to put an end to. He promised he was going get rid of all the lobbyists in Washington. Just one more in the line of promises Obama didn’t keep.

The people that support Obama remind me of people that continue to support the preachers that stand on the pulpit and admits to their congregations their wrong-doings and the people keep putting their hard earned money in the basket. It just doesn’t add up. They can see that he is negligent in his commitments but “cannot or will not see the forest on account of the trees”.

Can anyone imagine what kind of financial shape the USA’s government would be in if it wasn’t for foreign aid? We could pave our streets with gold. It is estimated that the USA gives away 25 billion dollars each year in aid. Some of the countries we are giving aid to can buy and sell the USA. That is a hell of a chunk of money for a country that is virtually broke.

Remember one thing and one thing only; “we always will have to pay the piper someday”. How soon that will be is anyone’s guess.
