Murder trial at heart of Chinese political scandal set to begin:

Even the elite in China have skeletons in their closet; what a mother will not do to protect her son.

The lady that is sometimes called the Jackie Kennedy of China, Gu Kailai, the wife of a recently deposed high-flier in the Chinese Communist Party; got all tangled up in the murder of a British businessman that has more twists and turns than a good James Bond movie.

Gu and her family aide, Zhang Xiaojun, are accused of poisoning Neil Heywood, the 41-year-old British citizen who was found dead in November in a hotel in the southwestern Chinese metropolis of Chongqing, the city where Bo was the Communist Party chief.

It seems that the dead Brit was blackmailing Gu’s son for tens of millions of dollars and Ma Ma Kailai was not going to take that laying down.

She tried several approaches to get rid of the shake-down artist but finally decided to live by the old Chinese proverb; “if you want to kill a shake-down artist, you better do it yourself”. She than put her plan into motion.

She invited the unsuspecting “dead man walking” to her pent house apartment for dinner for some Chicken Chow Main, Chop Suey and Fried Rice;  poisoned his imported Italian vino and let nature take its course.

I will bet one fortune cookie that when hit squad is convicted the Chinese courts will cone down with the full measure of some Foo Man Chew justice handed down on them.
