How about Mother Earth?

Curiosity landing video, Mars photos: NASA releases high resolution Mars images from Curiosity:

Scientists are basking in the success of Curiosity’s stunning landing earlier this week, proving that a complicated system involving a parachute and a sky crane can safely deliver a 2,000-pound vehicle to Mars. The $2.6 billion Curiosity will spend years roaming the planet, snapping photos and gathering scientific data.

If there is oil on Mars and there very well may be; it is going to take a hell of long  pipe line to get it back to earth. I am sure some government genius has a plan in motion already.

I think it is phenomenal, stupendous, mind-boggling, astonishing and OUT OF THIS WORLD  that the USA has persevered to the extent we have finally have landed a vehicle on Mars that is going to dig some hole for us. My questions is, why and now what? Just to say we were first. We can not eat being first.

There is no denying that this accomplishment goes down in the laurels of mankind as one of its most “Earth shattering” accounts of success. But now what?

Since 1958 up to 2011 the USA has spent $526.18 billion dollars—an average of $9.928 billion per year. Could all of the money been out to better use here on earth?

I don’t see Martians out there starving , without jobs, homeless; I don’t see roads falling apart; bridges that a person takes their life in their hands going across; I don’t see the infrastructure of Mars falling apart, their water and sewer line decaying; I don’t see any schools closing; I don’t see any unemployed Martians living in the back of a car or having to eat out of a garbage can; I don’t see the unemployment rate on Mars over 10% and I don’t see any stupid Martians starting wars on different planets because they THINK they have some secret weapon hidden under that frozen tundra.

Sure it is great to be-able to say that “We were the first” when doing anything but there seems to be a lot of issues that the leaders of this country have put unto the wrong prospective and that is “priorities”.

It would be great if we found a cure for cancer on Mars but that is doubtful.

What will we accomplish at that outside, there may have been life there 600,000,00,000 light years ago. What good it that doing us now. Just to put that into prospective; the speed of light travels at 186,000 miles per second x 60 seconds x 60 minutes x 24 hours x 365 x 600,000,000,000 = how long ago did some Martians presumably live on its planet? Who really cares? What really matters is what can you do for you country now/today/this morning/the week/ this month/this earthly light year????

The DC Destroyers  can’t seem to get a handle on that word priorities. The only handle the DC suits can get on that word is when it comes time to vote themselves a pay raise or it is times for early spring recess while the country is going down the tubes. That is when their priorities kick in.

So sincerely; congratulations to the USA for its stellar space achievements; but now it should be time to get down to earthly business. Take a good look around us and see if anyone can dispute any of my observations!

One enormous issue I left out. Get the crime in the country under control. It is turning into the wild west and it is not the good guys that are pulling the triggers.

Do any of these very common pictures depict the fact that we need some serious help on this earth? Let the Martians, if there are any,  live in peace. We have disrupted enough micro-organisms in our solar system  for awhile.
