Independent voters are key. So who are they?
Obama and Romney are waging one of the most partisan campaigns in recent memory, energizing their bases with heated rhetoric and harsh tactics. I call it dirty politics.
Traditionally there are two sides to the political isle. On the third side of the isle are the independent voters who are sick and tired of empty promises, lack of improvements in all areas and the childish tactics both sides are using. The people like me that are fed up with hearing “what is good for the party”. It should always be “what is good for the country”.
I knew a few people in my life that were very ridged voters and so loyal to their party that if Hitler was running for office and he was in their party they would vote for him.
A lot of people are like sheep jumping over the cliff because their leader did. They cannot think or rationalize on their own. They are followers and not leaders.
Independent voters make up about 1/3 of the voters in this country and are going to have a big say so as to who sits in the Oval Office. They are people with a lot more common sense and flexibility when it comes to making rational decisions.
No one should vote for any person just because of their party affiliations.
As I have said many times; we have to vote with our heads and not our hearts. Judge the person by their accomplishments not the hot air they let out that is so inherent to all politicians.
Neither of the men running for president are the perfect choice but we have to choose the best of the worst come November. Don’t be a follower, be a leader and maybe you can have a few of those sheep follow you.
