Norway gunman deemed sane, gets prison term:

I think Norway and some of these other super liberal countries should reevaluate  some of their penalties structures for capital crimes. Now that the mass murder trend has hit their shores; I have a feeling it is going to continue. The copy cats are licking their whiskers.

OSLO, Norway — A Norwegian court sentenced Anders Behring Breivik to prison on Friday, denying prosecutors the insanity ruling they hoped would show that his massacre of 77 people was the work of a madman, not part of an anti-Muslim crusade.

The “Norwegian nut case” got 21 years for slaughtering 77 people. Even as liberal as the USA is in some states he would have been given at least 77 life sentences; one for each person he murdered.

Essentially Breivik got 3.66 years for each person he killed. As far a murder sentences go “that was a real bargain” for the madman.

Maybe he should have been tried in Iran or Iraq where they still stone people to death, so he could really get what is coming to him. We can say that Anders literally got away with murder.

Even the USA could have been a little more severe or creative in coming up with a fair sentence for this madman; but what is really a fair and just punishment when a person creates that much carnage?

Knowing the temperament of some of the Norwegian people; most were thrilled with the decision,
