The Competitor in Chief: Obama Plays to Win, in Politics and Everything Else.
So he can shoot a good stick at pool; he is a great re-bounder at the hoop; loves to win playing cards and all of the incidentals are good attributes/talents for a person to have. One other talent Obama has expounded on; he also can make a great chili.
When Mr. Obama was derided as an insufferable overachiever in an early political race, some of his friends were infuriated; to them, he was revising negative preconceptions of what a black man could achieve. That should be a good thing for his image. Why would his people not want the man to put some of the misconceptions about his race to sleep? It doesn’t make sense to me.
On the other page some people close to Obama have been whispering about his excessive quest for excellence can bleed into cockiness and that he tends to overestimate himself. Was that overestimate ever an understatement.
Cockiness turns into conceit and conceit turns into arrogance. Arrogance is not what I would call a stellar attribute for the President of the USA or for that matter anyone. Don’t be like Leona Helmsley and think beef goulash “is only good for the little people”.
A nun told me once when I was attending Catholic school. “Empty barrels make the loudest noise and self-praise stinks”.
Has anyone but me noticed the progression in the exaggerated gait of Obama since he has become the president? As time has passed, it can be classified as a strut or a swagger , even very close to how some Hip Hop guys would walk. That is an arrogant and over-confident strut. I hope he keeps his pants over the hips.
In this entire article illustrating Obama’s attributes with his ability to shooting pool, cooking, being great at the hoops; there is one critical element that seemed to be left out; how he runs or does not run the country. The writer mat have left that out on purpose.
It is too late now to make any changes. He has spent 1.5 years campaigning for office. As I said before, “if Obama would have come through with even 30% of what he promises in 2008, Romney could have stayed home.” There would be no contest. He failed to do so.
If we wanted a person that could cook to be the prez we should get Hot Sauce Williams from Cleveland to run. He makes some delicious ribs and chicken.
If we needed a good hop shooter, Michael Jordon hasn’t been doing too much but playing golf lately.
If we needed a good pool shooters, we could dig up Paul Newman or Jackie Gleason and bump heads again.
What we DO need instead of all of these “side talents” is someone who is capable of running our country and Obama had his turn in the box to try and pull it off. He failed.
Now is the times to get new blood I the Oval Office and set this country straight. I don’t really care if he can cook, clean, shoot pool or play basketball. All I care about is that Romney runs the United States of America like it should be and keep the promises he made during his campaign and doesn’t deceive the public the way Obama did. One other thing; I hope he doesn’t start walking funny!!
Ask Oprah who she is voting for. They threw her under a bus after she laid down the red carpet for them. Is that how a friend and a financial supporter is suppose to be treated? What do they do to the people they don’t like?
