Religion and Politics should not mix

More than 50 million Americans short of food:

NEW YORK (CNNMoney) — More than 50 million Americans couldn’t afford to buy food at some point in 2011, according to federal data.

Children in some 3.9 million households suffered from food insecurity last year, with their families unable to provide them with adequate, nutritious food at times.

Tell these 50 million people that the USA is better off than we were 4 years ago.

Cold-hard facts should speak for themselves. The facts are the undeniable truth. It is very easy for politicians that have a loaf of bread under each arm to tell the people that are starving to “keep the faith”. This is supposed to be the USA not a third world country.

Instead of being responsible for their actions we have a bunch of politicians on both sides of the political isle getting the voters all hyped up with their name calling, lies, exaggerated truths and innuendos. Let the facts speak for themselves.

The Republicans are just as much to blame as the Democrats for the conditions in this country.  The voters gave Obama his 4 years to do his magic tricks and he couldn’t pull the rabbit out of the hat; now we have to give Romney a chance.  What other choice do we have? By all indications he will do a better job but who can really predict with any certainty?

Is it inconceivable that all of these over-paid, pampered men and women can’t get their heads together and get this country out of its doldrums? The last time our government had a budget was April 9th 2009. That is a whopping 1236 days. I have always said that our pampered politicians have it too easy and have too many perks attached to their job.

What gives them the incentive to get out there, put their butt on the line and hustle for the people that elected them? They keep getting the big bucks regardless of what conditions the country is in. If they worked for a private corporation and got paid on their merits, they would be out of a job 2 days after they were hired. They have a 76% disapproval rate.

New Kids on the block:

It isn’t bad enough we have to listen to the politicians’ rhetoric, now we even have the Catholic religion getting involved. I always thought that it was taboo for religions to get involved politics. I would say that they have enough headaches of their own to worry about. Clean your own house before you tell others what to do!

Sister Simone Campbell, leader of the ‘Nuns on the Bus’ tour, is stepping up her campaign against Mitt Romney’s running mate, targeting his proposed budget plan.

I wonder who is footing the bill for the nuns little cross country adventure that started months ago on this luxurious bus. I will bet it is not the Pope.

When was the last time these old ladies had to worry about where their next meal was coming from?

They should go back to where they came from, get back into the habit of putting their habits on and do what they supposedly devoted their lives to; teaching religion. They are religious politicians and like their counterparts, they also have too many automatic perks.
