Obama and Romney’s common ground? Bland fashion sense:
This is part of the political mentality problem of some of voters that I have been talking about.
Democrat Barack Obama and Republican Mitt Romney, who meet for their first debate on Wednesday, share nothing in common except their reluctance to step outside the safe-and-forgettable box in their apparel and appearance. USA TODAY’s Maria Puente breaks down their senses of style with the help of Gilt Man’s vice president of creative and editorial Tyler Thoreson and ‘Men’s Health’ editor-in-chief David Zinczenko.
Unfortunately, some like people Mr. Zinczenko are more concerned with the way a politician dresses than what his qualifications are and track records is. When it comes time to stroke their X this is what some of these people consider.
“What did Obama or Romney wear when they had their debate”? “I didn’t like Romney’s tie so I am going to vote for Obama, even though he did a less than stellar job since he has been in office”. “Maybe I will give Romney the check mark, his wife always dresses very well”.
Personally I don’t care what either of them wears. They can wear a burlap sacks at the debate and it would not matter to me. It all comes down who can tell the best lies.
We all know that out of 1000 politicians there may be 240 of them that are honest and they do have their constituents welfare in the forefront. The rest of them are in for the ride, prestige and their tenure. Remember they have a whopping 76% disapproval rating.
I am going to cast my vote for the best of the worst and it is not going to be for the guy that turned his back on a friend, Oprah.
How is a person to be judged in their life but by how they conduct themselves, their honesty, integrity and keeping promises they made?
Quoting my dear Old Man – “never make a promise you can’t keep”! “Keep you enemies close and your friends closer”!!!!
Amen BB
