Texas inmate executed for abduction, rape and strangling of 12-year-old girl in 2000:
It took 12 years to put this animal to death; twelve years that his victim Christina Neal didn’t have. She would have been 22 years old now.

His defense attorney stated that Jonathon “The Animal” Green was too mentally incompetent to be put to death. I’ll say!! Anyone that can abduct, rape and strangle another human being, especially a little girl should be considered mentally ill.
Can you imagine at this “big bad assed killer” complained that the needle the executioner was sticking in his arm to send him to hell; complained that the needle hurt him? They should have stuck it in his eye ball.
For 12 long years The Animal lived the life of luxury that most prisons in the USA afford their guests. Three hot meals a day, TV, libraries where the convicts can study their cases so they can harass the legal system, workout rooms where they can take out their frustrations (that is they don’t have a boyfriend) and all the amenities a person could want for a comfortable life.
I think it is the perception of the general public that people that are sent to prison are being punished; absolutely wrong; they love it. They are back home with their homies where they reminisce about old times and hone their criminal skills so when they get out they are on top of their game. It is called institutionalized.
Especially with todays’ technology, DNA, if a person is found guilty of one of a heinous crimes they should be immediately marched out the back door of the court house and be executed by a firing squad or killed in the same manner in which they killed their victim. You can believe that the vast majority of these “mentally incompetent” people would think twice about committing a crime.
One of the main reasons these laws are in effect for appeal after appeal is because the attorneys that represent them are making a ton of money over the course of time and for the most part the taxpayers are footing the bill for these criminals. So in essence the families of the victims are paying for the defense of the person that killed their loved ones.
Can you imagine how many ambulance chasers would be on skid row if all of the appeals were denied?
