It appears that the lady who is at ground zero with the shake up of the CIA chief and one of the top generals in the Marine Corps  is not Jill Kelly the porno star but Jill Kelly the socialite. The similarity between the two women as you can see is only in their names.

Jill Kelly the socialite called the FBI to inform them that her nemesis  Paula Broadwell the “close friend” of General Petrous was sending her threatening emails warning her to stay away from her man.

That bit of jealousy which involved two married women that were courting to married generals started this gigantic snowball rolling down hill; the further it rolls the bigger it is getting.

Now it turns out that Jill Kelly the socialite had a thing going on with General Allen. Both the general and Kelly claim that it is a platonic friendship which I highly doubt. Relationships of that nature rarely are.

Both of our war heroes have really put themselves in a precarious position by tip-toing through the tulips. It is against the UCMJ (uniform code of military justice) for a married serviceman to have an affair. If that law was strictly enforced a very large percentage of the men and women in uniform would be drummed out of the service.

This is not an excuse it is a fact. When men and women are separated from their spouses for months and sometime years on end, especially in countries where dating is taboo and   prostitution  is prohibited, they are some very long, lonely nights when a person is alone.

But here we are again; we have two of the most powerful military men in the world that have succumb to the same temptations that have brought nations and empires to their knees.

In this day and age of spy satellites, cameras everywhere, eavesdropping equipment that can listen to someone whispering through a 30 thick concrete wall; in which both of these war heroes were instrumental in developing and using the technology in their profession; one would assume that they would be smart enough not to wander off the path, especially because of their high visibility.

No one has ever cared if a PFC, a Corporal or Sergeant wondered off the path.

These escapades are just an example of the frailties of mankind.

I hope for the sake of the USA this does not turn into another Mata Hari saga. That was the stage name of the Dutch exotic dancer and prostitute Gertrud Margarete Zelle, who was shot by the French as a spy on 15 October 1917.

Mata Hari’s name has since become synonymous with espionage, although it was never proven conclusively that she was guilty of the spying charges for which she charged.

Two women get pissed off at one-another and the cat fight that ensues can get very messy and can last for years.

The promotion for General Allen to become the Supreme Allied Commander was out on hold until these matters are resolved. I hope he comes out clean as the Marine he has always portrayed himself to be.

No one can help but admire what these two men have done for their country but like so many other people that have fallen off the tracks recently; the only things they will be remembered for are their indiscretions.
