Jodi Arias Trial: Defense Claims Victim Was Sexual Deviant:

Defense attorneys for Jodi Arias, the 32-year-old Arizona woman who has admitted to brutally murdering her former boyfriend Travis Alexander in 2008, claim that she was abused and controlled by Alexander, who she says was a sexual deviant.
Talk about over-kill; Arias is accused of stabbing Alexander 27 times, slitting his throat and shooting him in the head as he showered in his Mesa, Ariz., home in 2008. Just one of those deadly actions was enough to put Alexander underground.

Crimes like this with “over-kill” are usually representative of  crimes of passion where the killer wants to make a statement and get even with someone they detest.

The prosecution accuses her of being jealous, controlling women that admitted killing her boyfriend but claims she had good reason to do so; claiming Travis was a sexual deviant and could not handle his outrageous demands. It may have been the other way around.

It is not likely that Alexander was the villain Arias made him out to be because of his staunch attachment to the Mormon religion. She and he lawyers had plenty of time to conjure her defense since she has been locked up since 2008.

The old saying goes “ a liar has to have a good memory”. This was not the case with “Jackie the Ripper” because she changed her story several times including a couple of unknown assailants did the killing; then she admitted that she was his killer but pleaded mitigating circumstances.

It has always amazed me the preposterous stories the clients and their attorneys can come up with as a defense. I say sometime the attorney is as guilty are the criminal by using their preposterous defenses to get their client off. Quit often the pleas are sex related to get the sympathy of the jury.

“Court room garb” The defense always tries to make the defendant look like a young innocent person going to her class room in school.
