Lance “The Chance” Armstrong comes clean and isn’t going to take the dive alone.
A person can almost make a parallel between Lance “The Chance” Armstrong with guys like Sammy “The Bull” Gravano, Angelo “Big Ang” Lonardo, Jimmy “The Weasle” Fratainno and some of the other stool pigeons, finks, agent provocateur, betrayer, blabbermouth, canary, decoy, deep throat, double-crosser, fink, fink, informant, informer, narc, narc, nark, nark, plant, police informer, rat, rat fink, rat, shill, sneak, snitch, snitcher, source, spy, squealer, squealer, stoolie, stoolie, tattler, tattletale, tipster, turncoat, weasel, whistle-blower and a few more handles I may have missed.
These were all people that swore (omerta) the code of silence and their allegiance to their Mafia families under penalty of death if they ever betrayed the oath of silence they took while a holy picture burned in their hands.
“When the heat is turned up, the cook runs out of the kitchen”. “When the pressure is put on the bird, the canary always signs”.
The primary motive for these people to stab each-other in the back is because they are looking for a reduced sentence or a sweetheart deal from the government. Lance “The Chance” is no different.
He lied like a rug for many years until he was forced to come clean because one of his “crew” sang Figaro to the man. When that happened Lance he did everything but put out “a hit” on his ex-partner in crime. Now that the cycling shoe is on the other foot, the financial and judicial noose is tightening around the ex-cyclists neck he is doing the same thing his Judas did to him. Fink.
It is reported that Lance is still worth about 100 million dollars. By the time the authorities and his “mouth pieces” are finished with him, Lance will be sitting on Hollywood and Vine with a tin cup in his hand and carrying a sign that says “who wants to buy a used bike”.
Lance has agreed to name names, dates, bank records, email chains and other damning evidence against his ex- paisanos’. This will all be evidence that perhaps only Lance could provide to expose others involved in doping and a few people who might still be in sport today that still maintaining they are clean as the board of health.
My advice to all of the present and future criminals. If you are going to pull a bank job or rough someone up; do it yourself so no one can put the “malocchio” on you and send your ass to the “il carcere”.
So much for Omerta or the code of silence.
Remember all of you gangsters and gansteretts out there, this is 2013; there is no honor among thieves today, it is every man/women for themself.
Better yet; behave yourself and you will sleep better at night.
Remember what Ralph Bellemy used to say “Crime doesn’t pay”
