Who can blame the “Hacker”?

Golfer Phil Mickelson plans “drastic changes” over taxes:

LA QUINTA, Calif. Phil Mickelson said he will make “drastic changes” because of federal and California state tax increases.

Who can blame the “hacker” for pulling up stakes in the Land of Fruit Cakes and most probably quitting the golf game?

Mickelson and many other well to do people in this country are being are being penalized for being successful.

What is the incentive for someone to work hard and become prosperous if they have to pay 63% or more of their hard earned money to support people that don’t want to work and a government that cannot and will not take control of their expenses?

This mean for every 1.00 Mickelson makes he has to pay the government .63 in taxes. This is criminal.

If you add up all the federal and you look at the disability and the unemployment and the Social Security and the state, my tax rate’s 62, 63 percent,” Mickelson said. “So I’ve got to make some decisions on what I’m going to do.

For thirty years I have been saying that the USA needs to implement a flat tax. Everyone and every company pays the same tax rate without exception. No loop holes and no tax shelters. If you make 1.00 or 100,000,000 a year you pay the same rate. To establish that rate can be very simple.

First and foremost, this action would eventually help solve a gigantic financial problem and certainly get the USA out of debt in the long run. There are no down sides to it.

Secondly; we can eliminate 90% of the dead weight that work for the IRS. It is estimated that it costs 8 billion dollars a year to run that origination. There may have to be a few thousand  people left to make sure all the crooks are kept in line. Right now they employ over 100,000 people. Productivity with most government employees is also something to be desired.

Why is it that Russia is approximately 1.8 times bigger than the USA and about 60% more corrupt can run their country very well on a 13% flat tax?

Our vodka loving friends across the pond have no problem running their country on a flat tax system that is in Phil Michelson’s case 4.61 lower than in the USA.

• Russia has a uniform rate of tax on the income of individuals. As of 2012 tax in Russia is payable at the rate of 13% for an individual on most income. (non-residents 30%). Russian residents pay 9% on dividend income. (Deduction at source).
Non-residents pay 15% on dividend income.
• Exemptions are granted to certain income earners.
• The standard rate of Russia corporate profit tax in 2012 is 20%.

The ONLY possible reason that the politicians in our country are opposed to a flat tax is that the law would severely impact them and their paisano’s that put them in office.

Will there ever be a time in history that the people that represent us in DC truly put the interest of the country in the forefront instead of their own greed? As it stands I really don’t think so. Let us not forget, they have a 78% disapproval rate. I wonder why?

To think that these people took an oath before they took office to serve and protect the citizens they represent.

I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter: So help me God.

Like so many other oaths or parts of the constitution written many years ago that are outdated, this oath needs to be changes. It should read:

I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will make sure that all of the people and or organizations that contributed funds to my campaign are fully repaid, whether they are foreign or domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; as well as making sure that my retirement plan and health care grossly exceed what the citizens of the USA receive; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of other than my personal agenda ; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter.  If there are a few crumbs left for the peasants and it does not infringe on my golf game, I may throw a few morsels to them from my penthouse window. So help me God!

It is no secret that there is corruption in every walk of life and no one really cares as long as the thief shares their wealth; it is the American way.  All you have to do is read the news to see that there isn’t anything sacred anymore; beginning at the highest levels of church, state and everywhere in between.

No one has a problem with people in high places living the good life but they should be taking care of the little guy as well. The little guys are the people that put these greedy, self-centered people where they are.

The people in DC are no different than an owner of a company that is making bushels of money, living high on the hog but not generous enough to share it with the people that made it possible for that person to have that life style. I think they are called hogs!!!

Advantages of flat tax:

Taken from the Morning Sentinel in 2011.

The advantages of a flat tax are numerous and well documented, including:

* Elimination of political favored deductions for well-connected industries and individuals and back-door social engineering.
* Vastly reducing the volumes of tax code that even the experts admit they don’t understand as well as reduce the size of the tax collection bureaucracy.
* Spurring economic growth by eliminating taxation on savings and investing so that prudent productive individuals and businesses would prosper. And it also would eliminate the huge costs of preparing mountains of tax returns for the government.
* And, perhaps most important, positioning the United States at the forefront of the world as a country where individuals and businesses can grow and create jobs.

Let’s put this into prospective. If there are numerous benefits to any problem and no down-sides, why wouldn’t the logical resolution be applied except for the fact that it will infringe on the lawmakers; yes the same people that voted themselves a raise recently.

Greed is nothing new in politics. The boys and girls that run our country have many different priorities and agendas other than a concern and the welfare for Joe Blow citizen. They are too comfortable with their high paying, low productivity vacations they are on.

One other issue that would make a tremendous difference. If everyone was taken off of government subsidies that are receiving them illegally or illegitimately,  it would add up to hundreds of billions of dollars. It has become so rampant that it may be impossible to reverse.

It is absolutely ridiculous that  prosperous, hardworking people would not have to be penalized for their  success.

Maybe guys like Mickelson should move to Russia. Who could blame them?
