HBO with Brian Gumbel:

The HBO series Real Sports with Bryant Gumbel is a great program that always has great topics; but every once and awhile “the host with the most” Mr. Gumbel or is Mr. Grumble throws out the race card for what he thinks is a valid reason or maybe not. I haven’t completely figured that out. I don’t see the necessity for it.

First of all Mr. Gumbel shouldn’t bad rap the white community because he is married to a white lady named Hilary Quinlan and she may put something in his pasta fagoli.

On this weeks program his complainant was about the lack of black people in the higher echelon positions of the NFL, coaches, assistant coaches and the like.

Racial tensions will never die if the media doesn’t at some point quit referring to black people or white people in a hostel manner.

The circumstances and conditions of employment should solely hinge on the fact of; is the person qualified or aren’t they. No special tests or no concession should be made because of race.  Black or white should not make a difference.

One of these days people like Grumble will quit grumbling and lay off the comments directed at a persons race and just maybe the issue will be dropped completely at some point. This would be a “Giant step for mankind”!

I don’t know if they like rubbing salt in the wound or what?
