Can’t see the forest on account of the trees

Washington Post

In N.C., Obama touts manufacturing plans:

President chooses a factory in economically distressed Appalachia as the stage to showcase his State of the Union proposals to strengthen American manufacturing, telling employees that “we still have a lot of work to do.”

I don’t know if it just me that sees most things logically? I would think that instead of wasting a lot of the tax payers’ money and time traveling around the country and world; if the president would stay in that Oval Office for an extended period he would be-able to focus on the solutions to the economic dilemma the country is in instead of just talking about it.

What does he really accomplish when he travels from city to city talking about the same issues over and over? To me it sound more like campaigning than doing anything productive. He already got re-elected; now is time to back up the rhetoric.

Let’s clip the wings for a while, stay put and get something accomplishes.

Obama and Republicans differ on the urgency of reducing the deficit:

I really don’t know how to turn someone’s head around that cannot see the forest on account of the trees.

To stand fast with the opinion that the government does not have a spending problem; that may be the most outlandish statement made by any political party yet, except for Bill Clinton and we know what he said. I absolutely did not ……………

Why is it  that so many people (politicians) look at the same issues and have so many different opinions and solutions for them to me is unbelievable. They have to learn what the term “work together means”. There is little hope of that.

They can be compared to witnesses to a stick up in a 7-11.

First witness: “there were two guys, one white one black, one was a midget and the other guy was 6’6”.

Second witness: “there were three people that did the stick-up; one was a Mexican lady with blond hair in her late 70’s, the other two were men of Asian descent, one had freckles on his face and the other had a mask on”.

The witnesses were all looking at the same stick up but like politicians; they cannot agree on anything. Abbott and Lou Costello routine  “who’s on first”??
