REPORT: Adam Lanza Motivated By Norway Shooter:
(Reuters) – The man ( he should be referred to as a demented dog) who shot dead 20 children and six adults at a Connecticut elementary school wanted to kill more people than the 77 slain by a Norwegian man in a 2011 rampage, CBS News reported on Monday, citing unnamed law enforcement sources.
Adam Lanza had a role model and a hero that he looked up to in his twisted life, Anders Behring Breivik the mass killer of 77 in Norway. Not only did Lanza want to be just like him, his ambition was to do better and make a greater mark in his life than his hero did. Under normal circumstances that would be a good thing.
For month and maybe years before Lanza went on his rampage it has been reported that he spent hour after hour in a darkened basement playing violent video games and honing his shooting skill on a computer.
I have said it for years, violent video games, movies and TV motivate these crack pots that are right on the edge to act out their fantasies. It is like locking up a drunk in a liquor store; what do you think they are going to do?
I call them copy-cat crimes where some other nut case sees or hears about a horrendous crime and immediately their mind goes into high gear on how to top it.
Unfortunately; as I am writing this blog there are hundreds maybe thousands of them out there sharpening their swords just waiting to make their mark in life. They all want to be famous or infamous.
The logical solution to eliminating some of these crimes is to clean up the video games and movies but that is never going to happen. It would take years to wean people off of them but eventually they would come back to civilization.
There is too much money and profit behind these games and movies for anyone to take necessary steps to put them out of business or clean them up. Money rules!
I suppose this is what is referred to evolution.
