Sequester: GOP and White House set to let deadline expire without deal:

seq

Everyone one of these finger pointing DC desperadoes should hang their heads in shame and have their pay stopped until there is a resolution on the sequester.

Which one of sides is going to take the rap if there is a catastrophe in this country because of their inability to do their jobs?

What happens in the private sector when a person doesn’t do their job? They get fired.

Is it a joke or what that these under-worked, overpaid employees of the government cannot put their differences aside and come to a compromise?

They are letting this one time super power of a government fall apart right before their eyes and the best they can do is to blame the other guy.

I wonder what they are going to tell their grandchildren. “I am one of the idiots that let the government crash”. That sure is the direction it is heading.

Let’s see if we can find a baseball strike or some other sporting activity that is having a problem so they can stick their nose into it as they have done so many times before.

The 1994–95 Major League Baseball strike was the eighth work stoppage in baseball history, as well as the fourth in-season work stoppage in 22 years that lasted 232 days.

Because of the “NATIONAL EMERGENCY” the senate got involved. They didn’t have anything better to do at the time. God forbid!!!! A baseball strike. There must have been some of the people in the government that had a financial interest in the teams and was losing money. Pop corn and beer sales were at a stand still.

Wikipedia

On August 3, 1995, the Senate Judiciary Committee sent a bill calling for the partial repeal of baseball’s antitrust exemption to the full Senate. The vote was just 9–8. On August 9, George Nicolau, baseball’s impartial arbitrator since 1986, was fired by Major League owners. On September 29, 1995, a three-judge panel in New York voted unanimously to uphold the injunction that brought the end to the strike in April 1995. The owners had appealed the injunction issued on March 31, but the panel said the Players Relations Committee had illegally attempted to eliminate free agency and salary arbitration.

There sure won’t be any activity on the issue today. All the boys and girls in DC are getting ready to leave town, going home for the weekend. I am sure when they get home they will tell their honey how hard they worked this week.

It is my understanding that Obama, the Commander in Chief (don’t get him confused with the Commander and Chief) has not yet had a face to face meeting with John Boehner over this issue yet. They must be like the divorced couple that are not speaking to each-other.

Under the circumstances wouldn’t that be the most intelligent and common sense thing to do is to have an up close and personal conversation to help resolve the issue?  I did say common sense.
