‘Total lockdown’: Vatican preps security for papal conclave:

Are you kidding me??

The news media that sensationalizes everything  makes it sound like all the poor guys with the red beanie’s on their head are locked up in solitary confinement. Don’t bet your cornicello on it.

These guys are in a self-imposed isolation because they cannot trust one another not to let the “hat out of the bag” and give up some inside information.

Being in lock-down to the cardinals is like Gillian when he was stranded on the island with those two broads and all the fish he wanted to eat. He had plenty of everything he wanted and so do they.

It is my understand that a couple of  enterprising American pizza tycoons set up some kind of special stand right under the windows of the conclave area. The cardinals had special ropes and pulleys installed to hoist up the salami, capicola, mortadella, pasta fagoli, along with some bacala fish, spaggs and balls and a little calamari.

The cardinals also arranged a special signal system with the vendors to let them know if they wanted parmigiano or swiss cheese on the panani’s. Blue smoke for parmigiano and pink smoke for swiss.

So when you read the news and hear that all of the 115 cardinals are in “lockdown” don’t feel sorry for them.

I coined this phrase years ago “I never saw a skinny priest driving an old car”. OD was living proof of that. Someone from Mt. Carmel would understand.

I hope for the sake of the Catholic Church they pick a pope that does not have any political ties to anyone or owes some gangster a bet he didn’t pay. Beside that; for their sake, they have to pick an honest, forthright, beyond reproach, can’t be swayed by the Euro and a man that loves all of the children in this world. They should get back to the teachings of religion instead of politics and shooting crap with the church’s money

Children are our future and need to be looked after, not assassinated by these rogue parasites  that join the priesthood because it is like going to a smorgasbord full of kids everyday.

Hopefully there is a man among them that can fill that bill because the “right handers” are in bad shape at this point. They have to give their flock something to believe in like they did 50 years ago.

I say a big AMEN to  that.
