Costco’s Profit Soars To $537 Million Just Days After CEO Endorses Minimum Wage Increase:

“Good things happen to good people”. “Treat people the way you would like to be treated”.
Just a couple of cliches fortifying the honesty and integrity of the great company, Costco.

Less than a week after Costco CEO Craig Jelinek spoke out in favor of raising the minimum wage, the big-box retailer’s earnings showed that paying workers a living wage doesn’t always hurt business.

Costco reported a profit of $537 million last quarter, up from $394 million during the same period last year, according to the Wall Street Journal. The healthy earnings report comes just six days after Jelinik urged lawmakers to raise the minimum wage to $10.10 an hour.

Costco sets a great example by the way they conduct business with their employees and displays a very strong  indicator of why they are a top echelon , if not the top retail store in the world.

Everything that they sell is exellent quality and they stand behind their products 110%. Anything that is purchased in Costco is full guaranteed; even if it is a pork chop you didn’t like. Bring back the receipt and they will give you a full refund; no questions asked.

I bought a stainless gas grill there that cost $600.00 and after 5 years the burners got corroded. I called them to find out where I could buy a replacement burner and they told me to bring in the entire unit. Costco gave me the full purchase price back after 5 years. That is what keeps customers coming back.

Costco is one of the very few companies in the world that appreciate the people that work for them and understand that if it was not for their employees they would not have attained the success they have.

I hope they keep making millions. They deserve it.
