Nearly 60 charged in Florida gambling scandal as lieutenant governor quits amid probe:
White collar crime has been taking on a new face with the advancement of women in the upper levels of managements positions and in political. Some of them can be and are as corrupt as the men.
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Florida’s lieutenant governor resigned and nearly 60 other people were charged in a scandal involving a purported veteran’s charity that authorities said Wednesday was a front for a $300 million gambling operation.
The gender that wear the short pants wanted equality in the work-place and justifiably so; so now they have it.
With the advent of female CEOs of corporations, politicians, judges and other high-ranking positions the ladies seem to have their hands out as much as their male counterparts.
Lt. Gov. Jennifer Carroll was not among those charged in the veterans charity scam but resigned a day after she was questioned by investigators. Why resign if you are not guilty?
Setting up a scam or participating in it to steal from an organization that was supposed to be for the benefit of the men and women that are putting their lives on the line for our country is about as low as the pedophiles and drug dealers.
One of the other kingpins that was arrested was Jacksonville lawyer Kelly Mathis that allegedly made about $6 million from the operation. It seems the esquire wasn’t making enough money chasing ambulances.
There doesn’t appear to be an end to these crooks. They are like weeds; as soon as you pull 1 out 10 more pop up.
