Senate kills background checks – Rouges Gallery

If a person didn’t  have anything to hide why would they object to a background check?

The background check was step # 1 of many steps needed for our country to get assault weapons off the streets but 60 members of our senate “shot” the legislation down for personal reasons of their own.

I guess it doesn’t bother them to see the aftermath of these slaughters when one of these nut cases have this type of weapon so easily accessible to them. I wonder if one of their family members were one of the victims??

If the USA imposed a ban on assault weapons, removed them entirely from all of the criminal elements  either by force or voluntary, none of the other legal gun owners would have any use for them.

Banning all firearms is out of the question but I really don’t see any need for any civilians to have that much firepower.

I never heard of anyone going elephant hunting that needed an AK-47.

It is like everything else in the country; the handkerchiefs and the patriotism only comes out for a day or two after the incident and too soon everyone forgets.
