Who cares??

Hubble telescope takes stunning new nebula photo for 23rd birthday:

NASA’s Hubble Space Telescope has snapped a spectacular new image of an iconic nebula to celebrate its 23 years of peering deep into the heavens.

The Hubble observatory, which launched on April 24, 1990, captured the Horsehead Nebula in infrared light, peering through obscuring veils of dust to reveal the object’s hidden features.

The Horsehead Nebula, also known as Barnard 33, is located about 1,500 light-years from Earth in the constellation Orion (The Hunter). The Horsehead is a huge interstellar cloud of gas and dust, like other nebulae, and the light from a nearby star gives it a beautiful glow.

I have only one question. If the speed of light is 186,000 miles per second and this Horsehead nebula is 1,500 light years away how can any type of telescope see that far out into infinity???

186,000 per second x 60 seconds in a minute = 11,160,000
11,160,000 x 60 minutes in an hour = 669,600,000
669,600,000 x 1,500 years = my calculator just blew up

I don’t know many much of these astrological statistics are accurate. I think the scientists that head these groups just throw these hypothetical numbers out from time to time to try and justify their jobs, like they are really accomplishing something.

What does it really matter? The human race has a gigantic problem “taking care of business “on Mother Earth instead of worrying about what is so far away it will never matter to us.

Let’s start putting all of that wasted money into something constructive, like ending wars and stopping hunger on this planet or keeping undesirables out of our country.

    Hi Cousin

The light from the objected viewed is coming towards the camera vs moving away or just sitting there a t a constant distance. Since the background light is dark and the item is light it can imprint the light (photo) on the camera film. The only reason we can not see it from earth is because of the back ground noise. In simple words its already there to photograph.

The object in reality may not even exist anymore.I could have been destroyed even before the earth was. It’s called relativity.
