Charlie Rangel Files Lawsuit To Overturn Censure Decision:
Charlie “The Wrangler” Rangel is constantly “wrangling” trying to beat the system.
Here is a guy that has been on the governments payroll for four decades but doesn’t think that the laws of the land apply to him.
He been caught numerous times with his hand in the cookie jar and has stepped outside legal boundaries whenever it suits him.
WASHINGTON — New York Democrat Charles Rangel on Monday filed a lawsuit in federal court seeking to overturn a 2010 House decision to censure him for financial wrongdoing.
The suit contends that staff and members of the House Ethics Committee conducted the probe against the Harlem lawmaker and found he willfully suppressed evidence of misconduct in how the investigation was conducted and that had the facts been known there would have been a “different outcome.”
Here is a guy that was found guilty of under paying the IRS for 17 years by failing to pay taxes on income from a rental unit, filed misleading financial disclosure reports, had set up a campaign office in the Harlem building where he lived that had been designated for residential use only.
Rangel’s punishment was being censured by a vote of 333-79 by the House Ethics Committee. Censured, that means having your wrist slapped.
Given the same circumstances the average citizen that would have pulled the same shots Chuck did would definitely be paying a hefty fine and doing some time in the slams. I am inclined to believe that he got away with just a reprimand because he is black and is a politician.

Rangel, in a humble speech to the House acknowledged that he had made mistakes but asserted that at no time had he been dishonest or tried to enrich himself. Come on Chuck, you gotta do better than that.
This reminds me of situation where a guy was robbing houses and admitted to his thefts. During the commission of one of his heists he was shot by one of the homeowners who booby-trapped the house with a shot gun while he was gone and the thief sued the home owner for attempted murder. I can’t remember if he won the suit or not.
Why do some people continually commit the same crime; because they never suffer any consequences.
