Cardinal O’Brien leaves Scotland to atone for sex misconduct, Vatican says:
This poor excuse for a human being should hang his head in shame and be defrocked as a representative of the Catholic Church.
The sacrilegious cardinal has been given a fully paid vacation for the rest of his life with all of the amenities of a millionaire.
He isn’t just the run of the mill priest or a monsignor or a bishop, this perverted make-believe “man of the cloth” is a cardinal; one step away from be the pope.
How does the Catholic Church punish “their own” that cross the holy line; they send them into hiding for the rest of their life with a fat pension, complete with plush living quarters for their penance. I would say that they get away pretty easy.
I wonder how many confessions the good Father O’ Brien heard through the years that he gave the confessor 5 Our Father’s and 5 Hail Mary’s for the same thing that he was doing behind the confessional doors?
These perverted tendencies are something that a person has had all of their life and not something that fell out of the sky and hit them in the head one day. They had these predispositions long before they said “I do” to God and joined the priest hood; specifically to have easy access to other men or boys.

Catholic Church Lashes Out at Gay Priests:
Estimates of the number of gays in U.S. seminaries and the priesthood range from 25 percent to 50 percent, according to a review of research by the Rev. Donald Cozzens, an author of “The Changing Face of the Priesthood.” That are some staggering percentages.
One can argue that as long as a priest’s homosexuality does not interfere with his moral obligation to the church there should not be a problem. Agreed; but that rarely is ever the case.
It is very apparent that these people engage themselves in these environments as a means to fulfill their sexual desires. It is like the addicted eater that bought a house next to the smorgasbord.
It is too bad that the church doe not scrutinize their candidates more thoroughly before they are excepted into the seminary.
Some people have the opinion that if the church would allow marriage it would put an end to homosexuality. Wrong; both are distinctly opposite from one another.

It did not take long for the new pope to capitulate. The cardinal should be defrocked and sent to a place where he can work and pray for his soul in a place of silences and solitude until death. He should not be given special privileges or compensation consistent with his prior status. At best he should be demoted to the level of a working friar. If he does not agree than he should be cut away from the flock of the Catholic Church with only the clothes on his back.
