Inmates rush to aid guard after prisoner bites off her ear:

“Hannibal the Cannibal” AKA Bobby Ruiz is alive and still hungry at the Maricopa County Detention Center, were he savagely attacked female guard Rachel Harris, 22 as she entered the convict’s cell at the Lower Buckeye Jail

Two heroic inmates, Ricky Shillingford and Andrew Davis, reportedly rushed to Harris’ aid, wrestling Ruiz off the stricken detention officer and held the frenzied assailant down until additional officers arrived on the scene.

Ruiz had Harris on the ground choking her when the two convicted rescuers came to her aid as the saw blood coming from the ear of the officer Harris. When they pulled off the crazed Ruiz they noticed half of downed officer’s ear was missing and it was nowhere to be found. Hannibal the Cannibal swallowed it.

I have always had reservations about female guards working at men prisons. I don’t think it the safest environment for them.
