Weidman finally bought Silva’s “wolf tickets”

Anderson Silva Knockout: Chris Weidman Wins Middleweight Title Fight At UFC 162:

LAS VEGAS — Chris Weidman sent a shock wave through mixed martial arts, stopping Anderson Silva in the second round of the main event at UFC 162 to become the new middleweight champion on Saturday night.

It is about time someone put an end to Silva’s show-boating in the octagon cage.

There is no doubt that Silva is a talented fighter and one of the best around for years but Saturday night he met his match when Chris Weidman put his lights out after Silva’s antics backfired on him.

UFC 162: Silva v Weidman

There is nothing that infuriates a fighter more than when he opponent taunts him; especially with their arms down and their chin stuck out daring them to try and hit them. Well Silva finally got what he was asking for in the name of a left hook that put his showboating Brazilian booty on the canvas.

After connecting with the left hook and Silva hit the canvas Weidman pounced on him and proceeded to pummel the Brazilian soon to be ex-champ into La La Land.

After the fight was called by Herb Dean and Silva came to, for a few minutes he thought he was in Rio de Janeiro.

In an interview after the fight Silva said “I’ve had the belt for a long time. I’m tired.”

I am sure there are a lot of people that wanted to see Silva get his bell rung, not because he was a great champion but because he was a show-boater. He stuck that Brazilian chin out once to many times and took the 10 count.
