Four headlines; none of them favorable!
Split Senate Panel Approves Giving Obama Limited Authority on Syria:
America’s involvement in Syria, if the president is foolish enough to get involved it will never stop with a “limited strike”. There is no such thing in war.
I heard on the news today that “maybe” sometime in the near future there may be American military personal sent to Syria as “advisers” but the hypocrite spokesman from the White House did not consider that boots on the ground. If I am not mistaken this is the way many of the wars we got involved in started with the USA as advisers.
If the bulk of this invasion is about American interests/money in that part of the world which I am sure it is; no told these mega corporations to set up shop there. They are making billions of dollars but when their back is against the wall the American taxpayers have to bail them out. Why are we not included in the profit of their company? Money always goes to money!
US House speaker snubs Russian Delegation:
Not a smart mover Speakers part. Did Boner or is it Boehner ever hear of the term diplomacy before? The USA and its politicians cannot isolate them-selves from the rest of the world and think they can go it alone. That is not the way it works; you would think they have that figured out by now. There is always strength in unity.
Syria rifts loom over G20 summit:
Why do the politicians in the USA always think they are smarter than the rest of the world? I don’t see any of the other major world powers in the quagmire the USA is in fighting wars in countries they don’t belong in. They know these warring factions have been at it for 100’s of years and will continue to do so.
Russia: Strike on Syria Could Mean Nuke Disaster:
With all of the tension in this world it wouldn’t take much for some crackpot isolated in some dark room to push that big red button out of revenge or boredom. That is when the term “The Big Bang” will really have some significance.
It appears that the president of the USA has many in the Senate and most of the world leaders opposing “HIS” decision to invade and bomb Syria.
How is he going to explain all of the collateral damage, meaning death to many of the civilian population and destruction to a vast number of other structures beyond the intended targets? It always happens and mostly unavoidable.
If Obama does go through with this invasion of Syria of his own volition, it will be without a doubt the biggest mistake of his presidency and he has had a few. Not only will it be a reflection of his arrogance but this ill-fated maneuver of his will put the USA behind the “8 ball” with every other country in the world like at no other time we have ever experienced.
The whole world has to let Syria settle their own problems and eventually the dust will settle until they start all over again with another uprising.
An old Italian saying; The way of fools seems right to them, but the wise listen to advice; La via degli stolti sembra giusto a loro, ma il saggio ascoltare i consigli.
