Those who turn and walk away live to see another day

Obama’s message on Syria: Look the other way or accept moral duty?

In response to Obama’s question about “moral duty” there are a couple of old saying that are very appropriate in the situation as far as the USA is concerned; “those who turn and walk away live to see another day”, “charity begins at home”! What about the moral obligation the president of the USA is suppose to have for his own people?

Is it a shame that the “good” Syrian people are suffering under this monster’s dictatorship the way they are; absolutely but there has been the same type of unrest in that part of the world for many years and it will continue to be for many years to come.

Any action that a country would take at this point would only be putting a band aid on the Syrian peoples problems that are inherent to this part of the world. Usually the side that the USA supports in these civil wars, at some point in time they use the arms we gave them against us. Read  the history books.

They have been killing each-other for years in the name of god or because they disagree with each-others social philosophies and that is never going to change.

In 2013 the United States of America in a completely different financial situation than it was a few years back when the coffers of the USA’s mints were overflowing with gold. You wouldn’t know it by the way the politicians in DC spend money.

We cannot afford anymore expenditures or loss of life in wars we don’t have any business getting into. What does it take for the “suits” to open their eyes?

For all intents and purposes; a homeless guy that is living under a bridge in a cardboard box and eating out of a garbage can is more financially secure than the United States government is in. The country is stone broke. We continue to spend money we don’t have and all in the wrong places

This fact doesn’t seem to faze any of the politicians in DC. As I have alluded to before; the politicians in DC do not live by the same rules and conditions as the working man and have no concept of what it means to go hungry or not be-able to purchase their medicine. They have an entirely different set of rules that they live by and co-incidentally they are the ones that wrote their own ticket.

I heard on the radio today; (I didn’t get the brain surgeons name) his recommendation at this point in time was not only to bomb Syria but to go and drop a few bombs on Iran to slow down their production for a few years. He has to be a relative of Dick Cheney’s.

If the wars we have been in for the last decade or more were fought the way wars are supposed to be fought; to obliterate the enemy by using any means at our disposal; we would have had all the troops back on our home turf years ago, our financial condition would not be as bleak as it is and the USA could still be holding its head up high.

The USA and maybe the UK are the only countries in the world that “fight by the rules”. In a genuine altercation the only rule is to win at all cost!! Read between the lines. Either do it right or not at all,
