OGX Bankruptcy Filing Caps Batista’s $30 Billion Demise:
Talk about a bad day at the office!
Not too long ago Eike Batista was Brazil’s richest man and made claims that someday he would be the richest man in the world. Now it can be said that he was wrong on both accounts.
Recently Batista filed for bankruptcy protection, culminating a 16-month decline that wiped out more than $30 billion of his personal fortune. Yes that is a “B” not an “M”!
It sound unfathomable that anyone can acquire that kind of wealth but then lose it in a matter of 16 months is mind boggling.
Most people in this world fanaticize about being a millionaire; this guy at one time was worth 36 Billion.
I would be willing to bet that this guy who had a Mar-Cadies in his front room a few months ago; now doesn’t even have a pot to piss in or a window to throw it out of.
Not to mention all of his “entourage” that suddenly disappeared. Eike buddy; it is very lonely when you are at the bottom.
