Embassy Officer Admits Taking $3M in Bribes for Visas:
What a sideline this dude put together for himself at the US Embassy in Viet Nam.
ABC News- Michael T. Sestak, 42, pleaded guilty in Washington Wednesday, telling a federal judge he was part of a conspiracy – along with five others from the U.S. and Vietnam – to commit bribery and visa fraud.
Michael had a good thing going for himself rubber stamping visas for Viet Nam citizens for $70,000.00 a pop to allow them entrance into the USA.
Between 2010 and 2012 Mikie boy made himself about $3,000,000.00 on the side in money illegally scamming the government and the people he was allowing to enter under false pretenses.
Sestak worked with a group of other thieves that stamped visas for admission to the USA and between them they racked up about $9,780,000. 00
With his part of the loot, Sestak bought nine real estate properties in Thailand where he was going to retire. It now looks like he will be looking out of a set of bars instead of a pent house window at the Baiyok Tower in Bangkok.
This may just be the tip of the bamboo chute as the total investigation gets under way.
Situation like this is why so many people want to get into politics in one form or another. The possibilities for financial gain when a person has “inside information and contacts” is limitless. Most of the crooks never get caught.
The problem is most thieves are pigs and never have enough. Their greed and overwhelming desire for power is their Waterloo.
Hopefully the judge that is hearing his case was not in on the scheme.
