CDC: Two million more kids diagnosed with ADHD since 2004:
The USA has become a pill popping society that is over medicating everyone including the kids.
New research from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) reveals an additional two million kids have attention attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder compared to stats collected nearly a decade earlier. Try to compare it to 50 or 60 years ago when the acronym ADHD didn’t even exist.
One million more kids are also taking medications to treat their ADHD, according to the new data collected from 2011-2012.
I think the biggest contributors to ADHD it is a combination of poor diet; more than half of the kids today are brought up eating fast food and TV dinners instead of fresh cooked meals. The only thing some of the mother know how to make are “reservation” and they have Pizza Hut on their quick dial set up before 911.
Lack of proper exercise is a big element missing in today’s society for kids. They spend more time in front of a computer and playing video games every year. The word “exercise” to them is a swear word.
Not to mention that a lot of these video game are corrupting their young minds. We see more and more crimes committed by kids that idolize people like Dexter and the other nuts cases. Some of these video games are extremely violent and the kids find it hard to separate fiction from reality. It is not getting any better.
Being pamper by the parents who are too busy with their own agendas’ that they do not have time to make sure the kids are doing what is right for themselves. A great deal of misbehavior in the kids are mainly the fault of the parents; that is if the kids even know who they are.
Lack of discipline from childhood; because it is a heck of a lot easier for a parent to say yes to a kid than to take a solid stand because they are afraid that the kid won’t like you anymore. They want to be friends with their kids, not parents.
Last but certainly not least are the misdiagnosis from the “Saw Bones” that are too eager to write prescriptions.
Without a doubt all of these examples are inner connected.
We all have to remember one very important thing in life; “the sins we commit when we are younger are the sins we pay for when we get older”.
11 major drug companies pulled in 85 billion dollars’ worth of business last year. That is a serious number.
In 2013 over 3.5 million kids were taking ADHD drugs. It is impossible that even 25% – 50% of these kids really needed the drugs.
Gotta cut out some of those free lunches Docs’ that the pharmaceutical reps/lobbyists are bringing around.
