There are a few dunce unions out there

Drunk at work? No problem: Teachers union contracts gone wild:

It appears that organized labor for the teachers union in a couple of states clandestinely maneuvered  a few clauses into their contracts that is going over like a fart in a crowded elevator.

Here are a couple of examples of labor union contracts “gone wild.”

Three strikes and you’re still not out in Michigan:

Believe it or not, teachers in the Bay City School Teachers (Michigan) can be caught drunk at work up to five times before they get sacked. How about drunk 3 times and naked once, does that count for being under the tolerated limit?

Same teachers union, teachers managed to negotiate a union contract where they could be caught in possession of, or under the influence of, drugs three times before they lost their job. If they get caught having a needle sticking out twice that changes the game.

No shows at work in the “Sun Shine State”:

Dozens of Miami-Dade County teachers often don’t bother to show up for work, and instead, opt to spend their time working as union reps, on the taxpayers’ dime.

County Commissioner Esteban Bovo told Florida Watchdog this is costing taxpayers anywhere from $12 million to $24 million annually. Change the rules Esti.

Theoretically teachers are supposed to be stellar examples to the kids they teach but in this day and age, if some of them aren’t taking naked pictures of themselves and sending them to their students they are “getting it on” with them in the boiler room or at Motel 6 after school hours. To me that type of misbehavior is hard to defend. They ask for the to leave the light on for them.

Teachers on the whole have one of the strongest unions in the country with some of the highest paying positions in the country as well as one of the better retirement plans, so they should be held to a higher standard.

I know that they are bad seeds in every walk of life but for the unions to defend anyone in a representative position that displays that type of bad behavior, especially teachers getting drunk and taking drugs, it is totally unreasonable.

I think that the respective school districts should have someone scrutinize the fine print in their contracts a little closer before signing on the dotted line. It can be, like the politicians, they write their own tickets??????????????
