Are e-cigarettes dangerous?

I am going to give you all one guess. The answer is an absolute YES.

There is nicotine, a highly addictive substance present in conventional cigarette as well as their electronic counterparts, just in lesser amounts. It just takes a little longer to put out the lights of its users.  Take a look at this poor soul.

Two separate studies were conducted and found formaldehyde, benzene and tobacco-specific nitrosamines (a well-known carcinogen) were coming from secondhand emissions.

New York City who recently lost their bid to ban Giant Soft drinks was successful in banning the use of e-cigarettes indoors. Chalk up one for the Big Apple.

There are approximately 250 different brands of electric “cancer sticks” out there trying to best their competition for the lions share of the market.

Some states have tried their best to diminish smoking by raising outrageous tax levels where some smokes cost as much as 14.00 a pack.  It hasn’t worked. I know people personally that will buy their smokes before they buy food or medicine. It is pathetic.

Tests were conducted by the FDA and found detectable levels of toxic cancer-causing chemicals — including an ingredient used in anti-freeze — in two leading brands of e-cigarettes and 18 various e-cigarette cartridges.

With all of the power the government has it seems they  pick and choose which industries they want to harass. The cigarette companies lobbing is so powerful, there is so much money and so many pay-offs behind the industry, congress chooses to focus their blind eye on that particular commerce.

Trying not to be left at the starting gate the three biggest cigarette companies have jumped on the band wagon by making and selling “electric butts”. Their new motto is “if we can’t kill you one way, we can try the other”.

The cancer making companies are as heartless as it comes. I remember a few years back when the heads of the leading companies were grilled by congress and they flatly denied that smoking can cause cancer. Were they charged with perjury; not a chance.

Because so many adults have “seen through the smoke” so to speak and gave up the nasty, unhealthy habit, the cigarette companies have focused their attention on the kids.

• Adults in the USA who smoke: 19.0% or 43.8 million [Men: 21.6% Women: 16.5%]

With the new trend available on the market, it is estimated that 1 in 10 kids have tried the electric cigarette and approximately 1.78 million kids use it.

One fact that may people do not think of, the involvement USA tobacco companies have overseas and their sales are staggering. They figure if their percentages of users in the USA is dropping they can still infect the people in other countries.

More than one billion people across the globe light up ever-day and a good percentage of them are smoking American cancer sticks. It doesn’t matter to the tobacco boys who they put under the sod.

If you or someone you know has quit the conventional way of smoking and is reverting to the “electric butts” as a crutch, you have to remember one thing; “pay me now or pay me later”. You are only fooling yourself and just delaying the inevitable.
