Former Pentagon chief blasts Obama administration “micromanagement”:
Gates is telling it like it is but only after the fact.
The “controlling nature” of President Obama’s national security team – comprised almost entirely of “former Hill staffers, academics and political operatives”
Anyone with a personality or the characteristics like Gates is describing is someone with a lack of confidence in themselves and a person with a very suspicious and distrusting nature.
Running a government or any organization by intimidation or micromanagement does not say much for the person at the helm. If they do not trust the people that they themselves appointed they should fire all of them and do the jobs themselves.
The former CIA director who served eight presidencies throughout his career, Gates in his book calls the Obama White House “by far the most centralized and controlling in national security of any I had seen since Richard Nixon and Henry Kissinger ruled the roost.
Joe Biden is a guy that Gates describes as a likeable person but someone that is very unstable. Gates goes on to say that the VP has a very deep distrust of the military.
Needless to say, I would classify Biden as a very insecure person. I still say there has to be a hidden agenda why Obama pick Biden as his running mate. Was that the best he could do?
On the other side of the coin, how much creditability can we give people that only write books after the fact? It doesn’t say too much for their character when they would consider working for someone under adverse circumstances. This is not to say that I disbelieve in part what Gates has written.
