Talk about standing by your man

Couple celebrates end of 26-year separation after man cleared for murder:

Mia Schand of Windsor, Conn., put a new spin on the saying “Stand-by your man”.

In 1986 Mark Schand was arrested, convicted and sentenced to life without parole for a murder he didn’t commit, one year after the couple met.

To commemorated his incarceration in prison, Mark tattooed the time he spent behind bars on his arm; 26 years, 11 months, 4 days, 20 hours, 26 minutes, and 8 seconds — and all of it — “4 nothing.”

The couple had a baby before he went to prison and got married after he was in the “slams”.

Mia had a lot of faith and trust in Mark and believed in his innocents. Adding to the devotion she had already demonstrated had she drove 5 hours one way to visit “her man” once a week for almost 27 years. Talk about loyalty.

These two should write a book on marriage for all of the couple out there to read that walk out because the other one burned their toast or cooked their egg the wrong way.

Last fall, the lawyers from the very prestigious organization The Innocence Project proved Mark had nothing to do with the crime. I hope he can be well compensated.

Mia Schand definitely gets 10 thumbs and a AAA rating for he devotion and loyalty to her very innocent man.
