My heart cries for you

Rich Businessman Compares Treatment Of The Rich To The Holocaust:

There is a old song out there called “my heart cries for you”.

Venture capitalist Thomas Perkins wrote a letter to the editors at the Wall Street Journal, comparing the plight of the rich to the Holocaust, called “Progressive Kristallnacht Coming?”… and the WSJ published it.

“I would call attention to the parallels of fascist Nazi Germany to its war on its ‘one percent,’ namely its Jews, to the progressive war on the American one percent, namely the ‘rich,'” Perkins writes. Thomas Perkins, one of the founders of venture capital firm Kleiner Perkins Caulfield & Byers, was comparing taxes on the super-rich to the slaughter of millions in the Holocaust.

I wonder how many meals Mr. Perkins missed last week. He may be accurate with his assessment of how the rich are taxed but to compare it to what the Jews went through in the holocaust is ludicrous.

It would not surprise me if he voted for Obama.

I think all of hi super-rich buddies should chip in and buy this miltizillionare a towel and a violin so he can wipe away his tears and play the violin while he is crying.

I don’t know how many Jewish friends Perkins had yesterday but I will bet the number took a big slide this morning. He may have to sit in the back of the bus on the way to the country club.

A little background on Perkins according to Wikipedia:

Homes and yachts

He has houses in Belvedere, Marin County, California, and spends about two months a year at Plumpton Place, his Elizabethan mansion in East Sussex, England, which once belonged to the Led Zeppelin guitarist Jimmy Page.  In 2010 he purchased the penthouse atop the Millennium Tower on Mission St in San Francisco’s financial district.

In July 2006, he formally launched his 289-foot sailing yacht named The Maltese Falcon, at the time, and still, the world’s largest privately owned sailing yacht. The yacht was listed for sale in 2006 on Yachtworld.com, the asking price being 99,000,000 with engine hours listed at 1,890 hours.[22] Perkins sold the yacht for £60million in July 2009.[18]

Now I know you really feel sorry for the guy.
